ABOUT
The Business Planner exists to take away one of your biggest headaches: you are working flat out on setting up and running your business, at the same time people are telling you that to grow you need to raise money and to do that you need a business plan.
But where do you find the time, or skills, to write a 20-30 page document in the language that will appeal to financial institutions?
By the way, it has been estimated that it can take a beginner up to 500 hours to complete a business plan.
Hello, my name is John Berimann, the founder and lead consultant of The Business Planner. I wrote my first business plan in 2007.
No two businesses are the same – so they should have different business plans.
But whenever we see a business plan put together using a standard template, or software it has that flat feeling because it’s so similar to many others we have seen before.
Your bank or other lender will have seen many more business plans than I have and will have a very keen eye for a plan that stands out.
Lenders look for business plans that show imagination, a real understanding of the market and the competition, and have a respect for the businesses financial position.
That’s why we take a different approach – every plan we write is prepared precisely for the business we are working with.
Your plan will be your plan, because it has to reflect not just your business. It also has to show your passion and energy and vision for your business.
Writing a good business plan is not a simple process, when we work on your plan, we will work together with you to pull out all of the important details of your business.
We need to know just what makes your business so important to you, and why you work so hard to make it the best that it can be. Only then can we infuse your plan with your thoughts and beliefs and energy.
That is the recipe for a business plan that stands out and will give you every chance to be invited to pitch your request for funding.
And because it is full of your energy and goals it will be easier for you to present to potential investors.
I have a background in the law and in information Technology.
I started my career as a systems analyst, designing financial systems. This gave me an acute understanding of the need for attention to detail. It also gave me a great deal of experience in working with financial reporting and forecasting.
So when writing a business plan I am able to put together financial projections that balance – you would be unhappily surprised to learn how common it is for the figures not to make sense or to balance on poorly written business plans.
I subsequently qualified and worked as a solicitor for over 10 years.
My varied workload included: assisting in the development of franchises; advising business owners and employees; and dealing with the financial aspects of work and family life.
So when I started developing business plans I already had a lot of relevant experience, plus an eye for precise details.
Contact me today, and we can take that first big step towards your business goals.
